PHILOSOPHY ON EXERCISE
My philosophy for training is to get to know the client to find what
truly motivates them, to work them hard, but to reach that challenge through
a gradual systematic progression. I believe fitness training should
have an element of fun, a functional training focus, and should be a
lifelong process which evolves with the individual's journey through life.
A strong healthy body promotes a strong healthy spirit.
THE REST OF THE STORY
I started teaching dance at the ripe old
age of 19. I even taught "aerobics" classes, think Jane Fonda style,
shiny tights and leg warmers- it was a long time ago :). I owned
and operated two dance studios until my thirst to performing got the better
of me. I danced professionally for 6 years, including multiple
contracts at the Lido de Paris, as well as touring throughout Europe, Japan,
and South America. I continued until my body was thoroughly broken.
I spent an enormous time in physical therapy. I learned so much from
my own injuries, and I also learned how much I didn't know. This was the
birth of my fitness career. I met, Mark Nutting, at Pumping Iron Gym
in NYC and with his mentoring I got my first fitness certification.
Now I'm mother of 2 fantastic boys and wife to one fantastic man, and
fitness and healthy living is a family affair.
